Spoke at Webflow Conf about rebuilding Ebury’s website, what changed behind the scenes and how the work evolved as the business, product and brand moved forward.
I joined Webflow Conf in Boston for a fireside conversation about the work behind rebuilding Ebury’s website.
We talked about the gap between the company Ebury had become and the way it was showing up online, how we approached the rebuild, and some of the decisions that mattered beyond the final pages.
A big part of it was treating the website as something we would keep building, rather than launching once and moving on from. The brand was changing, the product was changing, and we were working across localisation, content and systems at the same time.

A few things that came up:
The site had fallen behind the company
Ebury had grown substantially, but the website no longer reflected the scale or quality of the business.
The work went well beyond the website It touched brand, content, product stories, systems and how different teams worked together.
We left some things unresolved on purpose Not everything needed to be decided at the start. Keeping parts of the system flexible made the work better.
Launch wasn’t the finish line The useful part was building something that could keep evolving after it went live.
